Biography

I created this blog to share my passion for food and cooking with others. After years of collecting cookbooks and food magazines, and compiling countless folders of wrinkled torn out recipes, I have decided to consolidate all my favorites in one place. Not only am I creating my own online cookbook, but I also have a forum to share my culinary experiences, favorite ingredients, cooking methods, restaurants and chefs.

I have always loved food and have worked in restaurants off and on since I was fifteen. In January 2009, after a nine year career in corporate America, I decided to officially switch gears to follow my culinary dream. I completed a 14 week Culinary Arts Certificate program at Boston University that enabled me to learn from some of top chefs in the city. Since the end of the program, I have been working for Boston University as a culinary assistant for many of their cooking classes and demonstrations. I have worked with chefs Jody Adams (Rialto), Jamie Bissonette (Toro), Jeff Fournier (51 Lincoln) and Raymond Ost (Sandrine's Bistro), to name a few. I am also a volunteer chef instructor for the non-profit organization Operation Frontline of Massachusetts.

To me, cooking really is the joy of my life. In this day and age of convenience and prepared foods, making healthy, fresh food for yourself is so important. I hope that some of the recipes on this site inspire you to cook and enjoy it as much as I do.

If you are interested in a private or group cooking lesson in your home, or catering for your next small gathering, please contact me for more details.
